Just how important is that first kiss? Well for me it tells you whether or not there is chemistry there and it speaks volumes. A good kisser is vital. But research shows that men and women kiss for different reasons - men do it as a preamble to something more.... but they will also use it as a means to reconciliation - kiss and make up! Women, however, are much more divisive about it. They use it as an assessment tool to measure the relationship. Not just at the start but all the way through a relationship. So if you're going to kiss someone you better be committed to it or the women will know! One thing is for sure smoking is a huge no no for would be kissers so top up on those mints if you're a smoker hoping to get a snog this weekend!

i've always been an advocate of the first kiss meaning everything. but i foubnd recently it isn't always true. with one of my past flames, the first kiss left me cold physically, but chuffed mentally. On the side of the date doctor's argument, the relationship didn't work out, but on my side, it was a wonderful few months that i wouldn't change for the world. I think we females all expect the ultimate fantasy from first kiss - weak at the knees, butterflies etc - but you all know as well as I, the mood can change everything! Sometimes the first kiss happens at the wrong time, and what could be magic is just perfunctory!
Defo think date doctor id right on motive though - for womem, it's the be all and end all, for men, it's a way to.....well, you know what I mean!
