Online Dating - where should the first date be?

Where is the best place to go on a first date? You could take the expensive option and go for dinner in a great restaurant, but then what happens if you don't gel - it could be a long night! Alternatively you can meet for coffee during the day - then it's easy to make it a 15 min date if things aren't going according to plan and if all goes well you can make a date for that night or the next - so the coffee idea sounds pretty good to me. But what if you are not near enough to eachother to meet for coffee? Well personally I love the cinema, you get entertained by the movie and you have lots to talk about afterwards when you go for a drink. Let me know what you think the best place to go is - I look forward to hearing about it. - Jill

hey, totally agree about lunchtime coffee...though for me i prefer more flattering lighting than daytime. although cinema can be good, i think something more interactive works even better...try a small comedy night - like bankers - you get the chance to chat inbetween - and the best thing is you can rate or slate the show afterwards. if the comedy is goos, you'll be in great spirits and able to keep the evening light. If it's awful, you can have fun repeating atrocious bits from it and you'll definately have fuel for conversation!!
