Can men and women be just good friends?
I wasn't listening to Ryan Tuberty yesterday but I believe he had a discussion about whether or not men and women can be "just good friends".
I think this very much depends on your love status. If you are single and available then it is far more difficult to be "just good friends" as there is always the possibility that some drunken night you'll end up getting it together whether you intended to or not! If either of you are attached then I think it is different as both of you enter the friendship knowing that the other is not available.
Of course you are always going to come across the occasional person who will see the fact that you are attached as a challenge, but in general I think it is possible to be friends and no more.

This is a hard one because we all know if we could personally be friends with someone of the opposite sex. I think it depends on what u are looking for in a relationship. I think if you are looking for a "long term boyfriend" with a view to marriage maybe then yes i think you can be just friends with the opposite sex because your not interested in one night stands, casual sex, s..g buddies and if you meet a someone you get on with who is not your soul mate but you have interests in common well then yes you can be friends. If you are the person who is intersted in the one night stand etc scene well then no i dont think you could be friend because there is always the thought in the back of your mind that this person could be a activity partner. just my pennies worth. J
